Myth of Sustainability by Dr. McPherson - YouTube
What do you think? Might he be right?
I like this suggestion he makes for people who think that the economy is more important than the environment!
"If you realy think the environment is less important than the economy
TRY HOLDING YOUR BREATH WHILE YOU COUNT YOUR MONEY "

Dr. Guy McPherson is professor emeritus of natural resources and the environment at the University of Arizona, where he taught and conducted research for twenty years. He is the author or co-author of such books as "Living with Fire: Fire Ecology and Policy for the Twenty-first Century," "Letters to a Young Academic: Seeking Teachable Moments," and "Ecology and Management of North American Savannas." McPherson speaks about the two primary consequences of our fossil-fuel addiction: global climate change and energy decline; and strategies he's employed to prepare for an uncertain future. He lives in an off-grid, straw-bale house where he organic gardens, raises small animals for eggs and milk, and works with members of his rural community. McPherson holds a bachelor's degree in forest resources from the University of Idaho, a master's degree in range science from Texas Tech University and a doctorate in range science from Texas Tech.

An energetic speaker, he has appeared before countless audiences to speak about the two primary consequences of our fossil-fuel addiction: global climate change and energy decline. His talks highlight the importance of living sustainably, a necessity driven by the ongoing collapse of the environment, industrial economy, and by the arriving shortages of cheap oil.
