Frustration about Facebook!

Frustration is an emotional response to circumstances where one is obstructed from arriving at a personal goal.[1] The more important the goal, the greater the frustration. It is comparable to anger and disappointment. Sources of frustration may be internal or external. Internal sources of frustration involve personal deficiencies such as a lack of confidence or fear of social situations that prevent one from reaching a goal. In psychology, passive-aggressive behavior is a method of dealing with frustration. According to N.E. Miller "frustration produces instigation to a number of different types of response, one of which is an instigation to some form of aggression.

The Polarbearpetition needs more signatures my goal is 10.000 until May 8 4407 now !!!!!!
We need more whaledefenders and who is taking care of all my causes ?

You have no idea how frustrating this is allmost as frustrating as to know that we could stop whaling if Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd would have worked together or if they would change their strategy! I have started GREEDPEACE do you think that the whaledefenders join us?
And tell GREENPEACE TO START DEFENDING WHALES? Not just raise money!

Facebook Quo Vadis? THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING!

How can you pretend to be a place where people can meet friends if you dont react and leave all the friends in the dark about what has happened with their trusted friend? How should anybody know what is wrong with the Facebook account of their friend? All the disabled accounts are directed to the Facebook Homepage! No message that this friend has been disabled or has removed you from the friendlist! THIS IS SO WRONG! THIS IS BAD! AND THIS IS REALY ABUSIVE! You are
realy damaging many trusted members with this disabling policy!

My Facebook account Hans Lak is everywhere! Its not just Facebook, i am active in many other networks and have brought at least 300 people into Facebook! I will keep on discussing this in all my networks and get some very interesting informations and great Feedback!

The winner of the Next Web Conference in Amsterdam Mynameise.com will be visiting me next
week and just look at my public card with all the services i am using!
The people will visit Facbeook and dont see my Profile but the Homepage since all the other accounts are working people will wonder Facebook???? And i also wonder why Facebook does not answer me or help me get my account back...this is not just a Hobby Facebook Account i need it to manage the Wildlifefoundation Groups and Causes! Its respectless to not answer messages! I will keep on sending them until i get a real reaction!

Hans,
Yes, they do have all the rights, that's ecactly the point. You have a myriad of choices of networking sites who would appreciate your business and do everything in their power to make you happy. Facebook is not one of them. Facebook has gone to great lengths to let everyone know that they are not for marketing people, (unless you pay their advertising fee.) Research your site prior to accepting their terms of usage. Facebook has made it plane as day, they don't want us to use them for marketing. they don't want us spending our time building or networks for this purpose. It is not a smart business decision, but idiocy is their right. I am sorry for your loss, but, next time you use a networking site, make certain they are catering to the purpose for which you are using it.

Yesterday i have been speaking with a serial entrepreneur and investor about Facebook and he told me that they should share revenue with people who realy drive traffic! Since i have created
many Groups, Causes and thousands of Facebook Pages he is absolutely right why do they disable my account for spreading the light? I dont want money just the chance to realy make a difference with Facebook! This is rediculous! Outrageous! What else?

Why don't i receive a message like this?

Hi Rovena,

Please keep in mind that Facebook has these limits in place in order to prevent behavior that others may find annoying or abusive. This means that the subsequent results of exceeding these limits are independent of whether or not you are currently engaging in abusive types of activity. These limits, and the subsequent results of exceeding them, are non-negotiable. They are also one of the most effective methods of prevention against abuse on the site that we currently have in place.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide additional information about this system. We can only recommend that when you are allowed to resume using this feature, please proceed with caution to avoid reaching the limit again.

Thanks,

Lo

Does Facebook Support ignore all of us or is it just me?

WHGAT HAVE I DONE WRONG TO DESERVE THIS? HOW CAN IT BE WRONG TO THANK
FRIENDS! THATS ALL I DID WHEN I WAS DISABLED!

I am creating thousands and thousands of pageviews in Facebook every day that i am active in Facebook! Tell me if i am wrong but is not that what they should have pageviews and adds that they can sell to companies? What is Facebook up to? Do they have a plan to make money with members and not with advertising? Do they sell your information? Strange! Very strange!

Thank you for your support keep on telling Facebook that they should enable my account!

1% can make a difference!

One person can make a difference....with 1% for the planet!

Patagonia's founder explains the secret to his company's record sales in 2008

By: Yvon Chouinard

More than greed caused the financial crisis. As counterintuitive as it may sound, America's indifference toward the environment is largely responsible for the meltdown. If we'd been thinking about the planet first, we would have avoided the parallel problems of urban sprawl and subprime mortgages. The toxic lending was driven by the fiscal ideology that housing prices would forever climb as long as we continued to develop the next parcel of desert or forest. This thinking, we now all know, was incredibly shortsighted and unsustainable. If we had put the environment first, America would already be leading the green-energy economy of the 21st century. We'd be building high-speed railroads, public transportation, eco-friendly automobiles, and renewable-energy infrastructure to power a sustainable future much like Europe has done. Instead, our politicians, bankers, and business leaders were caught asleep at the wheel. As America picks itself up by its bootstraps, we all have to realize that business and ecology are inherently linked. David Brower of the Sierra Club puts it this way, "There is no business to be done on a dead planet."

That's all to say that most of our social problems are really environmental problems. It's why a few years ago, I started 1% For The Planet with my friend Craig Mathews, the owner of Blue Ribbon Trout Flies, in West Yellowstone, Montana. We were fishing on the Madison River one day, and I was telling him how Patagonia gives 1 percent of its gross sales to the environment. I call it the cost of doing business, an Earth tax. Craig said to me, "God, Yvon, I've been giving 2 percent." And he explained how he gets orders from across the country for $700 fly rods even though these guys can buy from their local fly shops. They do it because Craig sends 2 percent back to the rivers. I said, "Geez, that's fantastic." So we decided to start an organization and see if we could get other companies to join us. That was in 2002.

Today, we have 1,044 members in 37 countries, and we've donated more than $42 million to environmental organizations. Understand that this isn't 1 percent of profit, this is 1 percent of gross sales, which is a whole lot more. Even if you're not profitable, you still have to give the money away. And you know something else? In October, when the markets imploded, we signed up 48 new members—one and a half a day. And get this: Our largest members (Patagonia, New Belgium Brewing, Clif Bar, and Sigg) all had some of their best years in 2008. It's karma. During recessions, customers who appreciate what you're trying to do will still support you. At Patagonia, we give to 400 organizations, leaning heavily toward activist groups, the radical ones that are too controversial for most people. And that's why, instead of retiring, I'm still in business: to take the radical side of things. I want to show other companies that protecting the environment means protecting your financial bottom line as well as your future.

How to Join 1% for the Planet
Becoming a member of 1% For The Planet is simple and can be completed within 48 hours

First, you'll fill out a simple questionnaire about your business. Next, an agreement will be drafted for you to sign, essentially stating that you agree to donate 1 percent of your gross sales to either one or a combination of 1,600 approved environmental organizations. In exchange, you'll be able to use the 1% FTP logo on all of your goods and services. At the end of each year, you'll be required to present 1% FTP with a tax return that proves you've been meeting your end of the bargain. You'll be driving positive environmental change while making your company more attractive to customers.

Does Facebook Support ignore all of us or is it just me?

My Facebook account is still disabled...

And i dont hear anything from Facebook they had answerred...
It would be great if Facebook would warn people before they disable accounts!
And if we would know the reason.....i have been disabled for thanking friends posting to their wall....no warning at all....
Here's what we're hearing from people all over the world: Facebook is shutting down accounts of users who are exhibiting any behavior it finds remotely suspicious. As paradoxical as it sounds, "suspicious" often means just using the site too much! Sometimes they warn people and give them the chance to change their behavior, and sometimes the account termination is sudden and permanent. Most of the time the disabled accounts will be turned back on, whether automatically after a cool-down period, or after prostrating yourself to the FB authorities. But sometimes they'll lock it up and throw away the key.

Facebook remains intentionally vague about what "bad behavior" looks like, and so it's no wonder that people get confused, angry or despondent when they get the ACCOUNT DISABLED message. To help people avoid having their accounts disabled, I've listed the most common reasons why people report having their accounts abruptly turned off. Keep in mind, that this list is almost surely incomplete, and until Facebook changes their policy to embrace more transparency and two-way communication we'll have to live with a bit of uncertainty when using Facebook.

Here are the things that (supposedly) will get you kicked off Facebook:

1. You didn't use your real name
Don't try to use a nickname (or initials)in lieu of the name on your birth certificate, because Facebook will find you and spit you out.

2. You joined too many groups
Remember that the maximum limit is 200 groups per user. More than that just looks desperate, don't you think?

3. You posted too many messages on a wall or in a group
Even Guy Kawasaki had his account disabled--in his case for "excessive evangelism."

4. You posted in too many groups, too many user's walls
You may be axed for being too verbose in too many places. That's what spammers do, silly. On Facebook it is better--or at least safer--to be seen than heard.

5. You friended too many people
Not so long ago this was a prime cause of disabled accounts, but Facebook has instituted a maximum of 5000 friends that should protect you from yourself.

6. Your school/organization affiliation is doubtful
The overlords are sometimes not very trusting, and they may accuse you of not graduating from Harvard (or Plum Senior High School). The impertinence! Better have your diploma ready.

7. You're poking too many people
We've heard this from multiple sources, and it's easy enough to avoid. Save the pokes for people you *really* like, as mum always said. But beware the odd FB app that pokes on your behalf.

8. For advertising your app on wall posts
The line between spam and self-promotion is a thin one, but let it be known that pimping your shiny new Facebook app is definitely considered SPAM.

9. Using duplicate text in multiple messages
Some people paste a generic welcome message into friend requests to save time. DON'T DO THIS! It makes you look like a spammer. (Ironically, pro spammers are probably randomizing their messages to avoid this trap)

10. You are a cow, dog, or library
Being a real person is not enough, you must be a homo sapien. Accounts have been deleted for cows, dogs and libraries.

11. You are under eighteen years old
According to one report a user's account was suspended when they suspected her of being under 18. She was required to enter a work email address to prove her maturity, at which point her account was reinstated. [note: other users have pointed out that being under 18 is fine if you're part of a High School group, though underage home schoolers have been told to bugger off]

12. You wrote offensive content
Reports of "sudden death" on accounts have been reported by users who were told they had posted offensive content, but were not provided details of the offense.

13. You scraped information off Facebook
They have a zero tolerance policy for page scraping (i.e. pulling content off their web pages via a script). Unfortunately, they don't have a reliable way of proving it's you who's doing the scraping (IP matching is probably as good as they can get), so you may find this a difficult charge to defend yourself against.

Finally, you may be disabled for no clear reason at all. One Australian member reported this staggering experience:

"I was blocked for a little while because I was 'misusing certain features of the site' Naturally I closely examined their conditions of use etc for some insight as to what I must have done wrong. I couldn't for the life of me find anything...

"Upon request for clarification I was told that they were not at liberty to divulge which features or of course any thresholds of use. Then they warned me not to do it again or I would be banned permanently without recourse to reinstatement."

You have been warned. Remember that the hand of justice is swift and merciless.

Twitter has finally reacted i am sure that Getsatisfaction has been the reason for this help!

I have my one person can make a difference account in Twitter back!

@HansLak is online again i can tweet again after 12 days without any possibility to tweet
anything! I will try to tweet every day!

Facebook is a lot more difficult i have just asked Facebook for the 10th time to enable my account again and i know that hundreds of people have also asked Facebook...without any reaction!

Facebook realy does not care about members thats for sure...how can you ignore so many messages ?????

I think we can all appreciate that Facebook is focused on creating a safe, spam-free environment made up of real people. That's why so many of us are there, right?

But it doesn't make sense for us to go on investing ourselves into a system that will 1.) abruptly terminate our accounts for the merest suspicion of unacceptable activities, 2.) provide scant evidence of our misdeeds, and 3.) give us such vague remedies for resolving in a timely and predictable manner. This kind of system asks us to abandon our online social experience to a closed and authoritarian police state!

The weekend is here and my account is still disabled no chance to fight for the whales and polar bears..... please join the whaledefenders in Facebook! And sign for the polar bears!
http://tinyurl.com/whaledefenders 500 more whaledefenders needed to reach 10.000
http://tinyurl.com/polarbearpetition 6000 signatures needed to reach 10.000 until may 8

Thank you for all that you do to help me!

I have found Getsatisfaction today in search for answers how to get my account enabled again..

http://getsatisfaction.com/facebook

How should Facebook change its account disabling policy?

This open call for ideas is a response to these conversations:

I think we can all appreciate that Facebook is focused on creating a safe, spam-free environment made up of real people. That's why so many of us are there, right?

But it doesn't make sense for us to go on investing ourselves into a system that will 1.) abruptly terminate our accounts for the merest suspicion of unacceptable activities, 2.) provide scant evidence of our misdeeds, and 3.) give us such vague remedies for resolving in a timely and predictable manner. This kind of system asks us to abandon our online social experience to a closed and authoritarian police state, albeit one that lets me "poke" my friends ;)

I'd hate for Facebook to think that its success is *due* to its closed, top-down processes (rather than despite of them). Either way, I'm sure that the Facebook community can suggest some alternative approaches that will promote FB's core values while still embracing the transparency and humanism that sustains the most vibrant online communities.

What do you think?
happy I’m thinking the best ideas often come from outside the company

I hope that i will soon get my account enabled....this is soooo frustrating with many groups and causes to manage! Hate groups in Facbeook can do what they want lightworkers get their
account disabled this is just plain wrong!

Facebook take care of the people who make a difference

Facebook is one of the best places to make a difference even if they disable your account....

Did not receive any message from Facebook after they disabled my account!

The only real Facebook person i have been abled to ask for help will not be in before tuesday.....

It would be great if the social media sites would realy show that they are SOCIAL media sites!

Making friends who care about the same causes in this case ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE should not be punished...whats wrong with that?

The disabled@facebook.com does not even send a auto reply why do they use auto disable but no autoreply?

Do you have more information or a real person working for Facebook who could help me?

I would appreciate your help my many causes and groups need to be managed!

Have a nice weekend

Twitter is just too funny!

You know that i have tried to get a password for my Twitter account right..?

They are not able to help members with 5 days....they keep sending BS messages and they admit that they dont have a clue! Note: we're currently experiencing some problems
thats realy funny they realy have no idea how important safety is for members.....
We dont use applications and tools that dont work they realy are insane at Twitter!

Hi there,

Twitter has it's own Facebook app that allows your Twitter updates to post to your Facebook profile. Find out more about using Twitter and Facebook here:
http://help.twitter.com/forums/10711/entries/31113

Note: we're currently experiencing some problems with the Facebook application
As of about 4:00pm on Thursday, April 9th 2009, Facebook hasn't been updated with new tweets. We're working on fixing, and it should be back to normal tomorrow! You can find out more here:
http://help.twitter.com/forums/31935/entries/31112

and here:
http://status.twitter.com/

This wont stop you from adding the application, but you wont see your tweets post to Facebook until we fix it. If you're having a problem with something else, please reply to this email and let us know.

I will email them again and see if i get the same message like ten time before...LOL

Social media are fun..

Facebook not realy the place for making a difference.....

Directly after i wrote the Twitter story my Facebook account has been disabled without any warning and without any message about why they have disabled the account!

Facebook is about you and your friends not about making a difference thats for sure.....

All that i did was thanking friends with messages ...all just new members of the one person can make a difference group! Who have added me to their friends list!

I know that Facebook can disable the account for abuse but what kind of abuse would this be?

With many groups and causes in Facebook i am not in Facebook for fun....and i guess that Facebook is realy not ready for professionals! They should think again about the groups and the reason why people should start groups in Facebook...

If you think that Facebook should not disable accounts without a real reason of abuse
send them your message disabled@facebook.com

Facebook could be the best place for making a difference if they would allow us....to be realy active...

Have a nice weekend stay safe dont send to many messages to your friends in Facebook!

Twitter is definitely not ready for serious business

Its friday today and i still cannot use my @HansLak account! One person can make a difference!

NOT IN TWITTER!

Twitter has been very active sending mails but they did not solve the problem and i know from many people who cannot get to their accounts....

The weekend has definitely shown that Twitter will have to grow up before we can realy use it
for our causes! I am glad that only one account has been affected but its crazy that they cannot simply restore a account...give me a new password and i am ready!

But i can send messages and more messages i keep on getting the same answer it should work!

I understand when professionals dont start with Twitter yet...it realy is not ready for
serious business!

It would be great if they could invest the money to make Twitter safe for members!
Money is not the problem they have enough money to make it safer than all the other social media sites! And i hope they will for Twitter will give us great real time search opportunities!

Have a nice weekend

How the social media can get killed by bored kids!

Minutes ago, Twitter confirmed that they have successfully closed the hole that allowed this worm to spread. You’re safe to visit Twitter profiles again :) But i cannot use my HansLak one person can make a difference account i did not get information from Twitter so far...And since my password has been changed i can do nothing but wait for an answer from Twitter...GRRRR!

WARNING DOT USE TWITTER ! One security company warned that the attacks may not be over. "There's going to be quite a few modified Twitter worms for a day or two," http://tinyurl.com/cutxcz

DONT GO TO TWITTER UNTIL THEY FIX THIS! THE WORM IS ALL OVER THE PLACE! AND SENDING MESSAGES FROM ALL THE ACCOUNTS!

DONT GO TO TWITTER! Wait until Twitter has fixed this!

SORRY IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED MESSAGES BUT THEY DID NOT COME FROM ME........ THIS SHOWS THAT SOCIAL MEDIA CAN BE DESTROYED BY 17 YEARS OLD BORED KIDS.....!!!!

That worm, which was widely reported on Saturday and dubbed "StalkDaily," exploited a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Twitter service to infect user profiles. The original attack relied on tweets that referred to several malicious accounts allegedly created by Mooney; when users viewed those accounts' profiles, their own profiles became infected, and their accounts then sent more spam-style messages to entice friends to the just-infected profiles.

The second attack, which Twitter said affected about 100 different accounts, occurred later Saturday, and the third began Sunday. All three were exploiting cross-site scripting bugs in the service.

"All told, we identified and deleted almost 10,000 tweets that could have continued to spread the worm," Stones said in his blog post.

When asked why he created the StalkDaily worm, Mooney said, "Out of boredom. It was the middle of the night and I had nothing else better to do."... Read More

Also in the interview, Mooney both dismissed his actions and said he knew the attacks could land him in trouble. "I feel pretty bad about it, but it's not me that left the vulnerability out in the open," he said, then later added, "I'm not worried, though. I know that it could land me in jail."

On the StalkDaily Web site, Mooney posted a short message that read: "I have came clean and have accepted the responsibility for the worm."

One security company warned that the attacks may not be over.

Can you make a difference by just inviting friends?

In all the years that i have tried to make a difference i have seen that many people think they cannot make a difference anyway....

Making a difference does not mean that you have to write a book like my friend Steve N Lee
http://www.changingtheworldtoday.com/
What if...
'What if...?' blends political intrigue and roller-coaster action with a thought-provoking exploration of how we might build a green, socially just world where every man, woman and child truly is equal. Shootouts, car chases and conspiracies are interwoven with human rights and environmental crises, creating a chilling, real-life picture of the world and a story that's as moving as it is thrilling.

You can start by inviting friends to join one person can make a difference!
Every single person makes a difference! Its all about creating awareness and
to create awareness you need numbers! And people with compassion!

http://tinyurl.com/oneperson

I have done very much research on social media and following some of the experts very interesting to see how social media will change everything even the way people will market products will change...

The wildlifefoundation site is now a partner of the endangered species coalition and we have
created the leading Url for the polarbear petition.....

And the twitter account to stop extinction!

Please join one person and follow us on Twitter
